Dear Community Partners,
Dear Community Partners,
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, marked by the return of blue pinwheels throughout our community as a reminder of our shared commitment to ensuring all children grow up healthy, safe, and supported. We invite partners interested in hosting a pinwheel garden to contact us for more information.
On Friday, April 3, the Children’s Board hosted our annual Child Abuse Prevention Month event. This year’s theme focused on parent/caregiver mental health and wellness, and the event brought together funded providers, community partners, and families to promote awareness and reduce stigma around seeking support. We were honored to recognize Chauncey Ellis of the Family Enrichment Center and Loveline Lestage of the Family Healthcare Foundation with the Family Support Champion Award. Engaging speakers and beautiful performances by local children were a powerful reminder of the purpose behind our work.
At the March Board meeting, we announced the recipients of the Small Non-Profit Grant, a key initiative established in our strategic work plan. Congratulations to No Need, Inc.; Gentlemen’s Quest of Tampa, Inc.; Solita’s House, Inc.; Water Smart Tots Foundation; NAMI Hillsborough, Inc.; and GZL Educational Foundation Incorporated. We look forward to collaborating with these organizations as they implement services that promote child safety, youth support, and caregiver well-being.
Our 2025 Annual Report is now available on The Children’s Board website. Thank you again to our funded partners for their impactful work and to the CBHC team for bringing this report to life.
Wishing you a wonderful spring.
Rebecca
